If you have a host file setup it will not ask the DNS server.

Yes I did setup an MX record for the particular mail box.
I had also setup the host file accordingly but the mail still gets
returned.

Would my DSN server have any effect on the host file?
My DNS basically acts as a forwarder (caching server).

Did you add the A record for the host and the MX record?

I tried that prior to using the HOST file, but it still did not work.

Do you use a private or public DNS server. We use a private DNS server
for name resolution and I would just add that domain and all of its
records there.

Hi, I included the IP address and hostname in the HOST file in the WINNT
folder (if there is another HOST file I should be using, please let me
know), but the messages still keep returning to me.

The IMail server was restarted but still nothing.

Any other ideas?
