Bruce,

This looks like other the SSL keys have not been configured in IMail (SSL Config Utility) or they expired... If never configured then it would be my guess they just enabled the TLS on their server to use if available and since it isn't set up with the right key/crt pair it won't negotiate to SSL Socket

Subject: [IMail Forum] Enabling TLS in IMail SMTP

Hello Group,

I've searched the archives and online help areas for this and can't find
anything that pertains to my question, so I'm posting to the group. . .

Has anyone had any experience with TLS in IMail 8.21?

We upgraded to 8.21 as soon as the upgrades became available and were
running TLS without any problems - until the 21st of September, when several
long-term senders to hosted customers started complaining that their
messages were no longer getting thru to our IMail server.

When I checked the logs, I found the following:

Here is the HOASC.COM transaction:

09:28 12:12 SMTPD(cf0a017700000007) [65.86.164.132] connect 208.254.170.162
port 54517
09:28 12:12 SMTPD(cf0a017700000007) [208.254.170.162] EHLO mail.hoasc.com
09:28 12:12 SSL Layer(0000000000000000) SSL Failed to Load Key File
09:28 12:12 SSL Layer(0000000000bd1c78) SSL Accept Failed: Invalid State
09:28 12:12 SSL Layer(0000000000bd1c78) SSL Free Failed: Invalid State

Notice the SSL LAYER fail above?

As soon as I DISABLED TLS and restarted the SMTP servers, there were no
further problems with the receipt of messages from the domain listed in the
logs.

Any input or suggestions will be appreciated!
