I'm not familiar with Double take but it seems to me all one would need to do is export the IMail hiove of the registry and put the export in the target structure so it is available to run and import any changes. This will not take care fo deletion but if you have the whole key just delet ethe current one and then merge the exported one into the registry.

You are correct, Double Take does not replicate the registry. It will only replicate the file structure as you direct.

Subject: [IMail Forum] OT: Fail-Over (Double Take)

Hi,

We like to step a bit more into the Fail-Over things. So far i remember a few
of you guys are using double take. This Software looks quite good, but the
product is not the cheapest one.

so far i learned form the website of the product, Double Take does not
replicate the registry. If this is true, the whole thing makes not really
sense. Let's say, you're adding an new host for Imail, all the direcories and
files are replicated, but not the new registry data of the host. Or am i wrong?

I spend some time to find other products, but no luck, except one product from
germany. Any idea about more products.

Our home made solution to have a duplicated/replication IMail-server works, but
this isn't the future ;-)
