If you have Failed Domain Skipping enabled then any domain that IMail cannot connect to is added to the temporary skip list.and will not be tried until the time period set expires

Subject: [IMail Forum] Info - Adding domain.com to temporary skip list

We are running version 8.2 and are having some trouble with sending mail to
a couple of domains. Searching through the log file, I noticed several of
these statements:

Info - Adding domain.com to temporary skip list

Where domain.com references the domain we are trying to send to.

Any ideas?
