That is a valid concern as you will get blacklisted by someone. It's
inevitable. Even though it is an opt-in list someone will not appreciate
receiving the marketing email they said they wanted. I certainly would not
use the primary IP of your mail server for this.

We used to use a piece of shareware called MindCast Mailer to send bulk
emails for a client on their Imail system. Worked like a charm! Not sure if
you can still find that app though. It's been a long time since I've used
it.
