Well that is much better John!! However the fact remains Declude hijack has no way to stop spammers when they use Webmail- Hijack does can not deal with Imail with webmail b/c it needs a users IP address. End of matter. > 2. Well my spammers are creative and have sent 1000's of emails via the web interface before I have killed their accounts. So while it isnt the tool of choice-- they have been using us twice a week for 2 months. > > 3. The problem of scanning of Webmail has nothing to do with > Declude. It is the problem of Imail. When a message is sent > using Webmail, Imail hands the message to the Queue Manger > service for direct delivery, therefore Declude never gets a > chance to see it. That is true and I never said it was a problem with Declude-- It is the Imail problem that they do not give the IP address of the user from Webmail. When that happens then Declude hijack will be able to STOP or THRottle spam being sent via creative spammers using the web interface of Imail. Then we can all drink a beer instead of dealing w/ spammers at this level. dk > John T > eServices For You > > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:IMail_Forum- > > [EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of dkaleky > > Sent: Thursday, November 17, 2005 9:13 AM > > To: [email protected] > > Subject: RE: [IMail Forum] Stopping Spammers from Sending mail > > > > > > >Your statement as stated is completely false for both > Imail and >Declude. > > > > > > Mmmm....I was on phone w/ Declude for past 3 weeks and Imail this > morning > > --- so please refrain from blanket statements without any > explanation. > > > > Backup what you say... > > > > How is it false? > > How does Declude hijack prevent webmail sending of spam? > > How does Imail via webmail prevent webmail sending of spam ? > > > > Maybe you know something they don't! > > > > > > > > > > Dk > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > John T > > eServices For You > > > > > > > -----Original Message----- > > > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:IMail_Forum- > > > [EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of dkaleky > > > Sent: Thursday, November 17, 2005 4:21 AM > > > To: [email protected] > > > Subject: [IMail Forum] Stopping Spammers from Sending mail > > > > > > Imail has no way of stopping spammers from sending, nor does > > > declude if mail is sent via web interface- > > > > > > Do any of the other mail systems mentioned here have a > feature like > that? > > > > > > > > > > > > To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html > > > List Archive: > > > http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ > > > Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/ > > > > > > To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html > > List Archive: > > http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ > > Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/ > > > > > > > > To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html > > List Archive: > > http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ > > Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/ > > > To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html > List Archive: > http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ > Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/ > To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/
