I agree Cameron. We use ASSP for our company mail, and it has been
excellent. It is low maintenance, low false positives once the machines has
completed it's learning cycle. It calls Clamwin easily enough, but your
usage of McAfee's SMTP webshield is a good idea. It's part of our AV
package, but I never thought of using it that way.

Just as a counterpoint we are using ASSP (v1.1.1) here and have been for
a while now. It can sometimes be a pain when people get false
rejections, we have had about 3 people write to the unmonitored address
to be manually added to the whitelist. But on the whole it works nicely.
Our setup is

ASSP -> McAffee Webshield SMTP (application not appliance) -> IMail

So we are not using any of the IMail anti-spam or anti-virus stuff, but
our stats show we have been running it for 552 days with 36.2% of our
incoming mail blocked as spam. The ASSP has also stopped 29172 virii
mails before the McAffee even had to scan them and the only thing the
McAffee stops these days is zip files which get held in quarantine and
released if they are legitimate.

There have been some instances where people with laptops have been
inside our network and been blocked from relaying to the outside world
because they are seen by ASSP as attaching to the public address of the
mail server rather than the internal one, but apart from that it seems
to work well with ~120 addresses and 11 domains (not huge I know).
