I would delete infected messages, not bounce. Are you sure the antivirus is
even running? If you open a web browser and go to http://X.X.X.X:8004 with
the X' being IP of your server. This is the web interface for the Symantec
engine. There is a lot of information listed here. Check it out.

Subject: R: [IMail Forum] Virus Sober

Hi Todd,
I have checked my definitions today but virus sober don't catch by
antivirus. My settings are "bounce" and "pass the file by the name". To
block this virus, I set the delivery rules by object of the messages, but
this object often change. I don't know what can I do to solve this problems.

Pasquale.

I just checked my definitions and found they were up to date. Good.

However, I'm wondering how others who use the Symantec AV deal with this
setting. Do you bounce the infected message back to the sender, which
sometimes results in another message to me saying that person doesn't exist
(in cases where the message was spoofed)? Or do you delete the infected
message?

Todd

Make sure your Symantec virus def's are up to date. It should go out and
check by itself on a regular basis, but if not, then go
here: http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/download/pages/US-N95.html

Download the latest update and run it.
