Kenneth and Kevin,
I got together with one of our other Senior Developers
(Marc Rosamond) this afternoon, and we created a temporary solution for
Single Sign-On. I have also entered a Feature Request to address this in a more
elegant manner in the future.
The attached file - sso.html - will work as a stand-alone
file when saved in the root:\Program Files\Ipswitch\product
name\WebDir\WebClient folder.
In order to access the Web Message system with this file,
you will need to define a link in your current environment such
as:
<a
href=""
target="_blank">Click here for mail</a>
You will still need to dynamically populate the name and
password for your logged-in user - replacing the 'name' and 'pass' in the above
example.
Bear in mind, this is not a feature supported by Ipswitch.
However, should you have any additional questions, please post them to the
forum.
Very truly yours,
Ric Castagna

Kenneth and Kevin,
Are you trying to pass this information "transparently" to the new web messaging - simulating Single Sign-On, or just trying to customize the look/feel of the Web Messaging login page?
Some more detailed info will help...
Thanks!

Nutt Just upgraded to 2006 from 8.2. I have a large number of website that use a login form to check their web mail. I set this up following the instructions in KB article IM-20000316-DM02 - http://support.ipswitch.com/kb/IM-20000316-DM02.htm - sending the form action to login.cgi on the mail server.
I need to be able to pass the username and password to the new .aspx script. Any ideas?
Thanks! |
