Hi, If you want to install IMail 2006 silent (or unattended), the follow this:
run "imail.exe" with the parameter -r (Record) Do the usual click-click-stuff. Apply your settings. Do not run the activation, do it later on. Please remember, that your IMail server can be installed only twice. After the setup is finished, locate the file "setup.iss" in your windows directory. Save this file. If you like, you can change some parameters. On a different machine the silent setup can be done like this: run "imail.exe -s" (silent) Be sure, that the file "setup.iss" is in the same folder as "imail.exe". After the setup, IMails works as a trial version. This is good enough to run some tests. The activation can be done too. If you want to move, eg. the spool and data-directory to a different location, you have to do it manually, hacking the registry, the usual thing. Before you run the silent installation, please verify that all prerequisites to run IMail are fullfilled. If not, IMail will report messages and the silent installation will fail.
