IN most cases it does it correctly. There are so many different possible
configurations that IIS can be set up with it is almost impossible to
plan for them all. I had virtually no issues with a new install of IIS
and .NET 1.1 and an upgrade to 2006 from 8.21.. Of course I used all the
defaults.

Thanks Eric. Will check it out.
I guess the next question is….why doesn’t the installer do this
automatically? That’s a bit of an oversight by Ipswitch I feel.

Permissions issue... Make sure the IUSR_<machinename> has all the
proper permissions (IIS, Registry, and File System). this is all
outlined in the release notes

Hi all,
I installed Imail 8.21 on a test server and configured it all to
work correctly. I imported our data from the existing email server
(had the test server in it’s own VLAN so it wouldn’t conflict) and
it was all fine. I could see all the users and the 4 domains we host.
I then ran the upgrade to Imail 2006 and it all appeared to run
ok. I ran the Imail Administration Tool and logged into the Web
Page. I could see the 4 domains listed there, but if I click on
one of them I receive the following error:
Error Message
The Domain does not exist
Has anyone come across this one yet?
Thanks,
Chris
