What are you getting when you try to send.. Do you have IMail's SMTP service
listening on all IP's? If not you will need to either let it or make a dummy
domain bound to 127.0.0.1 for now so the web client can talk to the SMTP
service

Well, I reinstalled Imail 2006 as a clean install (without activating it,
as my code apparently has exceeded limits), and I think I figured out my
Web Admin problem. Looks like there is a special case when you are using
a remote NT database (as in the Active Directory when you are not
installing Imail on a domain controller). You have to remove anonymous
access to the IAdmin directory in IIS. I did this, and the IAdmin is now
working.
I installed on a Windows 2003 Web Edition. Everything appears to be
working just fine. But I still have to figure out why I can't send mail
from the web client (I suspect it may be a similar fix to the one I
described above).

I've decided to revert back to 8.22, and try a fresh install of 2006 on a
different server and see if I can get any better results.
The problem I'm having has nothing to do with the Web Client. It also has
nothing to do with whether I login with the domain attached to the
username (as in [EMAIL PROTECTED]). I've tried all that. I can login
to the Web Client just fine. I just can't seem to log into the Web Admin.
Oh yeah, and I just discovered a few minutes ago that I can't send a
message in the Web Client because it says that authentication failed
(similar to the message the Web Admin is telling me when I try to log in).

I had a similar issue with the Web Client on my test server , I have to
put in [EMAIL PROTECTED] to log into webmail.

Not that this will be any help, but I had to start typing
[EMAIL PROTECTED] <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> in place of

worked fine until I changed the OHN while troubleshooting a problem
with GoDaddy's gateway servers.

Yes, there is a link there for the Admin, but it looks like all it
does is try to log into the regular Admin login page with your
credentials, and like has been mentioned already, my credentials are
not being accepted, even though I am an Imail administrator and can
log into Webmail just fine.
Any other ideas? Imail 2006 will be useless to me if I can't
administer it (the regular administration console was dumped
apparently for this new web-based version).

If your account is an Imail Administrator, can you log into
Webmail and then get to the Admin side from there? There should be
a link in the top right to the Admin Pages.

It did ask for a user, but never said anything about a password.
From what I could see, it only let me enter a username that had
already been in Imail, because it wouldn't let me enter any
Windows or Domain administrator accounts. So I entered my user
name (I was an Imail administrator before as well as a Windows
Domain administrator). But it never asked for a password.

When you did the setup did it ask for a default user and
password for the primary domain?

Tried that already. I've tried every user in my database with
no luck. Even tried entering local Windows users, domain
windows users, still no luck.

I've upgraded to Imail 2006. So far, everything seems to
work great, except for the Web IAdmin interface. It comes
up to the login screen just fine, but no matter what I
type all I get is the error "Authentication Failed Please
check your User name and Password". I use the active
directory user database. I can log in just fine to the Web
client, but not the Web admin.
I can't find anything on this issue in the knowledgebase
or the archives. Any thoughts would be most appreciated.
