I've seen this problem as well. There have been times in the past where I
begin receiving messages that virtual resources are running low on my Imail
servers. While checking to see where all the free memory has gone, it is
always Imail's pop32 service which has eaten all of the memory little by
little. It makes me wonder if either:
A: This continuous consuption of ram is a result of some type of intentional
caching that pop32 is programmed to use. Similar to Imail's Whois service.
- or -
B: Pop32 has a fairly critical memory leak occuring which propogates itself
everytime someone uses the pop service to check their email.
That's my two cents worth....
