We use a Barracuda 300 which for the money has been the best
investment I have made for the company.
Here's a bug report by the postfix developer about an ESMTP protocol
bug in barracuda, fyi:
Summary:
This is a Barracuda bug report. It is an analysis of an ESMTP
command PIPELINING problem that was reported earlier this week
to the Postfix users mailing list.
I have included evidence in the form of a network sniffer
recording.
Many modern MTAs support ESMTP command PIPELINING, including
Sendmail, Postfix, and products from MicroSoft. Barracuda's
bug causes inter-operability problems.
Problem:
The Barracuda claims to support PIPELINING (RFC 2920), but it
mis-handles the case where the client pipelines "." and QUIT.
What should happen: the Barracuda should send the server's
end-of-data response to the client.
What really happens: the Barracuda does NOT send the server's
end-of-data response to the client. Instead, the Barracuda
sends the QUIT command to the CLIENT.
Impact:
A conforming SMTP client will retry delivery until the mail
expires in the queue. What happens on the server side is unknown
to me; they might receive a copy of the message for every
delivery attempt, or they might not receive anything at all.
Below is an annotated tcpdump recording. The raw data is attached.

My IMGate is free and proven effective for 5 years, even for non-Unix
Imail admins. It's much more scalable to large volumes than any
solutions that reside on Imail box.
