OK.  Thanks!

Here is what I as able to do.  I deleted the Inbox.xml file, Opened Outlook, When to IMAP folders.  This time I could see mail as separate and removed it form my folder list.  I closed Outlook, went into the web interface, Inbox.xml was created again.  Got out of the web interface, opened outlook and now I again have a main and inbox folder that are the same exact thing.  I cannot remove the main folder until I go back in and removes the Inbox.xml file.  Seems IMAP and the new Web interface don’t play well together.

I'm going by memory (not at office right now), but it seems that 2006 will not read a mailbox named "main".

Will have to check on Monday, but I've noticed the "main" / "Inbox" issue since upgrading to 2006.

Hmmm…..I think this only happens with Imail IMAP users who use the web interface as well?  What file would be written to that would cause that?

I've noticed the same issue.  There seems to be a conflict with the names "Inbox" and "main".  This applies to the web client as well.

I've had to rename several mailboxes for customers due to this issue.

IN outlook 2003 I now have and Inbox and  main box that are the same exact things.  Delete a message form inbox, deletes from main and so on.  It wont let me delete the main folder in Outlook 2003.

Any ideas?
