I don't think anyone can say that this product wasn't rushed out before it was ready... not only did we pay for it with cash we now pay for it in terms of aggravation as well... having said that I am sure someone will comment that the product is perfect... you know what bothers me - I buy product all the time - 250k this year - I will admit it is never as it is promised -
BUT - when there is a problem usually the company comes to the table and says we will make it right... Now having said that! I wrote into this esteemed group knowing full well that Ipswitch's people are also here with us reading the posts... has anyone seen a refund offer - has anyone heard a "we will gladly extend your service contract to a period beyond.... and beginning the day we deliver a true working product". There's the rub... some companies are good to their clients and earn a loyal following and some just figure we can suck it up... I don't like talking about another companies product here in this forum (I'd like to show Ipswitch more loyalty then it has shown me) but as it has been mentioned I will add that when smartermail releases their v3 product in the next few weeks I will watch their forum and see what problems there are? If it goes as well as their last release I will buy it and shelve this product for now or forever depending on how well it does. (If you look at their open forum you note their product doesn't have much in terms of problems...) Finally, and for what it is worth I want Ipswitch to know I would prefer their product over anothers - that's why I've paid the dough... IPSWITCH - COME TO THE TABLE - I HAVE FIFTEEN HUNDRED CLIENTS AND I CANNOT PUT THEM ON WHAT YOU'VE SOLD ME - I BELIEVE IN MY OBLIGATIONS TO MY CLIENTS -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Richard Bowman Sent: Tuesday, January 17, 2006 10:28 AM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [IMail Forum] Consensus HMMMMM... now here is a question... I just paid good money for a license for the 2006 product, that apparently isn't working yet... The thoughts that cross my mind are that sooner then later they will be asking us for service contracts for the next year for a product that even by then might not be working fully... So the question is, should we as a group - class action if need be depending on their (Ipswitchs') willingness to do the right thing - should we be looking for a refund of our monies paid or an extension of our yearly service agreement... It's clear this new product wasn't even ready... Ipswitch come to the table for your long standing and incredibly loyal client base.... I have personally spent over 10 hours on the phone with tech support (or on hold waiting for them) and it is impossible to get a correctly working version of Imail 2006 at this time. Even the tech support people have demonstrated frustration with Ipswith on this issue. Save yourself a lot of headaches and MAD customers. Stay where you are for now. -Joe ----- Original Message ----- From: "Cameron Biggart" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, January 16, 2006 8:06 PM Subject: [IMail Forum] Consensus > We are currently running Imail 8.21 and I'm looking to upgrade to 2006 but > after reading about the headaches here I'm wondering if that's such a good > idea?
