Imail 8.latest
We have the field "send all mail through gateway" with gateway value
of "label.domain.com"
where:
label.domain.com. A ip.ad.re.s1
label.domain.com. A ip.ad.re.s2
... expecting that Imail will round-robin its gateway connection
between A records 1 and 2.
Not happening. IP 1 is seeing many 1000's of connects from Imail,
while IP 2 is seeing only a couple hundred. ie, the load
distribution by DNS round-robin isn't distributing equally.
The A resource-record-set is certainly being served by our BIND DNS
server with round-robin/rotation of the 2 records.
Is Imail's DNS client caching causing the failure of the distributing?
or something else?
