Humm,
On this kb doc IM-20050428-DM01, there is no mention to that. Of course
this doc applies to 8.20, uncertain if it works to newer versions.

Subject: [IMail Forum] Using SMTP Auth on dedicated smtp server against pop
server user credentials.

Hello:

iMail 8.22

Ipswitch stated to our other email admin that iMail 8.22 supports smtp auth
from a second server against a primary server. The Ipswitch rep stated it
did not require the use of an external user DB. All the documentation I
have found shows this feature requires the use of an external user DB.

Is possible and feasible to use smtp auth with out using the external user
DB?

Thank you,

-Greg.
