We've used the same web based script for our list subscibes / unsubscribes for many Imail versions without any problems.  With 2006 you can see in the logs where the message was sent from the script, but Imail just stops processing.  I've posted the logs in the past.   The script sends the request formatted properly in plain text (can't have users do it manually since most users now send in HTML and the list server doesn't understand a subscribe or unsubscribe in HTML format... only plain text).  Imail just doesn't process it for some reason.  I know Ipswitch had the same problem on this list when they switched to 2006 and they shut it down to make some changes.  I don't know what they did, but I do know of two Imail 2006 installs that no longer work.   Better check yours...
