Leigh,

Similar in function to KBmail is http://www.horde.org/imp/about/, but that 
reqires a PHP platform (Linux or FreeBSD, etc) rather than Java, and it 
would read Imail's box via IMAP, which brings up the pb of increased disk 
storage on the Imail machine.  KBMail is reasonably price, IMP is free.
