thee messages never completed coming in hence the "T" file. For IMail to deliver the message you need a "Q" and a "D" file. A "T" file will eventually turn into a "Q" file when it is ready for delivery. In most cases this is caused by an incomplete transaction on the SMTPD side.

The network Layer comments in the log everyone is asking about are left-over log lines from the development process and usually do not point to any issues.. These lines should go away in the next release

Subject: [IMail Forum] Orpahned Spool Files - Invalid State MEssage

I have some abandoned files in the spool.  The QM viewer says there isn’t anything in there, but I see for files total.  They are similar in the following way.

Df75e013d0000155a.SMD

Tf75e013d0000155a.SMD

and

Df4ef013d00001501.SMD

Tf4ef013d00001501.SMD

It looks like the T file is the envelope for the main D files.  Why didn’t these get sent?  I have checked all four files and they are all good mail that should be sent.

Looking at the logs, it shows me this for one of them:

02:22 15:44 SMTPD(f75e013d0000155a) [207.228.46.66] connect 207.228.46.78 port 1036

02:22 15:46 Network Layer(0000000000000000) Invalid State

And the other:

02:22 15:34 SMTPD(f4ef013d00001501) [207.228.46.66] connect 207.228.46.78 port 1033

02:22 15:38 SMTPD(f4ef013d00001501) [207.228.46.78] e:\IMAIL\spool\Df4ef013d00001501.SMD 31527

02:22 15:38 Network Layer(0000000000000000) Invalid State

There is nothing else in the logs for these messages.  SO, I know this was asked bfore and it is obviously false, but what does “Network Layer(0000000000000000) Invalid State” actually mean?  Because as I was writing this I just got another orphan and another in the logs.
