We have experienced difficulty with the Palm 700w Windows IMAP client, however. It appears to be a flaw in the Treo, but we are not yet certain. The folders load and then disappear. The device then tells us there are no folders and of course no messages.

Since the treo is using POP3 you would be able to use it with any mailserver that has it's POP3 service enabled. And to aswer the less specific question about Palm Treo, any device that use a POP3 mail client would be able to retrieve mail from an Imail 2006 server that has the POP3 service running.
