I'm running version
8.05. Does anyone know how to disable auto-responders and bounces for
invalid users?
I've found that
spammers will send a million spam messages to a single [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the FROM address as the real recipient. Our mail server
then bounces the message because the person in the TO field doesn't exist.
The bounced message is then "returned" to the person in the FROM address and
they receive a spam message saying "unknown user" and the spam content.
All the while, the spammer used our mail server to "relay" from and we get
blacklisted.
I need to drop
those messages that result in an "unknown user" result. Can that be done with this
version?
