MessageAs far as I know, the best arrangement is to install and enable the
DNS service on your IMail server, but to provide it with no zone files and
to block outside access to it. Set IMail's SMTP DNS server to 127.0.0.1.
That will enable the very capable Microsoft DNS resolver as a head-end for
IMail.
Of course, in this scenario, your public DNS servers would not include your
IMail server, so you must set up DNS service on another server.
We have used this arrangement for four or five years now, and it resolved a
lot of problems with IMail.
