Thank You for this assistance. I also did notice other issues but all solvable.

-          Spam now throws x-imail-spam premium into the subject line and not the header

-          Services at first were unaccessible but were all working order

-          The Clients could not logon. Needed help from Ipswitch on how to fix this on Windows 2003 DC

-          The license key from version 1 does not work on ICS version 3 (2006)

Version 3 works fine now.

Thanks for you assistance;

Eddie

Subject: Re: [IMail Forum] Upgrading to ICS version 3. Any suggestions

Hi Eddie,

I just migrated from 8.22 on an NT server to Imail 2006.02a on a Windows 2003 server. Ipswitch has a document somewhere in their KB that describes the migration process. Despite following it to a "T" I ended up with a bunch of problems that ended up being attributed to incorrect permissions. Mainly a lack of two sets of permissions on the main imail folder:
The IUSR_machinename user, and the Network Service account should both have full control on all of IMail files. So far that seems to have taken care of most (not all) of our problems.

Anything I should watch out for when I upgrade IMail 8.22 to ICS version 3 on a Windows 2003 Server Domain Controller, this is going to be an upgrade for IMail that is already there.

Thank You;
Eddie
