I would like to establish a good baseline setting for Imail AntiSpam and feel I am using solid DNS Black Lists. Is there a "best practices" document for Imail AntiSpam? What settings are you using that feel right? What are the DNS Black List(s) you use? Which do you have flagged as "trusted".
In addition to these questions, I am interested in learning what others are using for Spam filter Action settings. In our environment, a large percent of good email is getting the subject line prefixed with spam abbreviations. Users are having to perform subject line clean-up before replying or just letting the subject line stay dirty with the response. We currently used the following settings: Statistical Filter Action: Insert X-Header Prefix Subject with: [SPAM-Statistical] Phrase Filter Action: Insert X-Header Prefix Subject with: [SPAM-Phrase] HTML Features Filter Action: Insert X-Header Prefix Subject with: [SPAM-HTML] URL Domain Black List Action: Insert X-Header Prefix Subject with: [SPAM-URLDBL] Broken MIME Headers Action: Insert X-Header Prefix Subject with: [SPAM-Broken-MIME-Hdr] SPF Filter (Fail/Softfail/Error) Action: Insert X-Header Prefix Subject with: [SPAM-SPF-Fail] Prefix Subject with: [SPAM-SPF-Softfail] Prefix Subject with: [SPAM-SPF-Error] * all others Action: None Connection Checks Settings: all checked Delete Message after 3 matches Prefix Subject with: [SPAM-DNSBL] DNS Black Lists list.dsbl.org rfc-ignorant.org sbl-xbl.spamhaus.org * trusted I would appreciate your feedback. _________________ David Penrose Top Network LLC 206.529.4128 v 206.202.3776 f To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/
