Do you run Declude with Message Sniffer? If so the .tmp files are from the auto-update process for Sniffer. Every update leaves a tmpXXX.tmp file in my spool directory. I run 2006 with an old version of Declude (1.8x I think).

Subject: [IMail Forum] tmp files in spool directory

Hi,

another small problem with ICS2006.3

I just checked my spool directory and found lots of temporary files. All files follow the naming scheme tmp***.tmp where *** is a three digit hex number. All files are 2KB in size. Checking the content of the files I found that all are valid e-mails that were sent to an alias of type "Program". In my case it is a MailSniffer update announcement that comes in several times a day. The mails are received correctly and trigger the related CMD file so my MailSniffer updates do work. But IMail leaves such a spool file every time.

Just a small glitch?
