We have something setup similar to what I
believe you’re asking for. On our Imail server our email is setup,
with all users. Then on our exchange system (SBS 2003 not 5.5 but should
work either way) we have our email setup. To forward mail to the exchange box, we
have forwards setup in Imail but for a sub domain, and then add the sub domain
addresses as extra mailboxes in exchange. That way when sending from
either exchange or Imail it would show the right sending address, but mail
would forward correctly and you can do per mailbox things in Imail since it is
your gateway. For Ex: Email address: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sub domain address [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mail from the outside would enter Imail,
go through spam/virus processing and then forward the mail to the sub domain
address. Now Imail would lookup the sub domain to see where to send it
(we have a host entry on the mail server). You don’t need an MX
record just a host file entry pointing to your exchange server. Imail
sends the mail along to the exchange server. At the exchange server, it
receives the mail and delivers it to the correct mailbox (since the sub domain
address is added as an additional email on each mailbox). When replying, exchange would be setup
with the correct address as default and would send out accordingly. We’ve had this kind of system setup
for some time, works great, no problems. Thanks, Shaun ----------------------------------------------------------- "Internet/Technology Solutions for

mailboxes for testing purposes. That is my challenge. -----Original Message----- Sure there is information. It is called Gateway. There is a KB on it as well as plenty of
discussions in the archives. John T eServices For You "Seek, and ye shall
