As for the question about status
codes...
Question/Problem: I see status=1, status=2 or
status=3 in my SMTP log files. What do they mean?
Answer/Solution: Here are the status values:
0 = general unknown failure (Should never be seen)
1 =
delivered successfully
2 = failed delivery and returned to sender with
error
3 = failed to deliver on this attempt; queued for later delivery

My apologies in advance if I'm asking stupid
questions. My users are still not able to send email to Hotmail or
MSN and I've gone around the block several times with Hotmail tech
support. Just to make sure I'm not doing something wrong on this
end, here are log entries from an attempt to send email from [EMAIL PROTECTED] to [EMAIL PROTECTED]. Please note my
