I have a client that about every two weeks has the problem that he gets the following error message -
Receiving' reported error (0x80042110) : 'Your POP3 server is providing inconsistent information. The number of messages returned by the STAT command does not match the number of items returned by the UIDL or LIST commands. Contact your POP3 or Internet service provider.' I have other clients that have received that message from time to time but after we delete the main.uid file the problem goes away and never seems to come back. Near as we can tell this usually occurs with Outlook as the mail client. Does anyone know what could be causing this and how the issue could be resolved? Chuck Schick Warp 8, Inc.
