The most likely cause for sending multiple times is that the remote server is not completing the SMTP conversation correctly (the last ACK is significant!) so IMail thinks it was not delivered, so it retries at the next Queue interval (30 minutes is the default). Need to check your logs to verify this is the case. Nothing you can do or did at your server that will affect this situation (If I got it right!).
Daniel Donnelly -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Chris Gibson Sent: Friday, June 23, 2006 10:44 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [IMail Forum] multiple replies I'm running Imail srvr 8.21 with Killer Webmail. All of a sudden, when my users reply to an email outside of our domain, multiple replies get sent (one every half hour) for about 9 hours, then it stops. This only happens to outside replies, not within out domain. I haven't made any recent changes to the server. Any ideas on how to stop this? thanks, Christopher Gibson, MCSE Director of Information Services Kents Hill School Kents Hill, Maine 04349 Tel: 207.685.4914 Fax: 207.685.9529 ________________________________________________________________ To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/ To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/
