Not to nit pick, but you may have spelled glazforb wrong. Also I think your docs may be out of date. The 3400 series WizBang corrected some nasty bugs on the 3K model. Rumor has it that accessing web mail from the browser on the 3000 series could cause gorgsnipping and/or cause the unit to spontaneously transmorph into a Treogliph (there was almost a class action suit about that problem).
Sadly I'm still using the 690 series conclusionator, but it is fully patched. It provides a very generic answer: "Use the web browsing function on the PDA or get a PDA with a web browsing function if you intend to use the PDA to access web mail or other web based services." When I hit the "That's not helpful enough (TNHE)" button it goes on to say that "Some web mail might not work with some PDA no matter what you do because some web mail servers aren't 'aware enough' for non PC browsers and that some PDA browsers aren't 'full featured enough' to handle some of the needed (X)HTML features and/or scripting.
