Just  make  sure that the n.n address is set as the primary address in
Exchange,  so  it  is  used  as  the sender address... otherwise, your
migration won't fly.

BTW,  exchange2aliases (see my sig) is designed for IMail MXs in front
of  Exchange  mailbox  servers, which is, at least for the time being,
your  setup. Would automate the alias creation, with some tweaking, if
you have enough users to warrant this.
