Well, it's not just "in case people use" it, it's the only way that WebMail stores contacts, and without it, the list of folders won't come up. Further, the KB articles say things like "Stop the WGS server..." -- I don't have that. There's no admin interface that lets you change anything. As for making changes to the data, Access give you a message saying that it would have to be converted to make it editable.

What kind of changes do you need to make? Since it's an MDB, you can open it in Access and edit the tables or use a different program that uses SQL with the ODBC connection to the database.
