There's also a problem here since there are occasions where we will see the same message over and over from our own clients that are D&T files. These are often 1+ MB emails and this is usually an unpatched Outlook client. My concern here is that if Imail is going to simply delete these files in the future, how are we to know when this occurs? Imagine and endless stream of 1 MB emails uploading and you would never know.

Thx for your help.
The question still is: Why does this happen?

BTW: I now also have pairs of A and D files. What are A files? What to do with those?

D files = message body
T files = queue temporary information, when message is all received, it
change to Q??? file.

Queue looks for Q files to delivery messages.

If U have T files, You have not completely received messages. You've two
choices:

- Rename T files to Q files and Queue Manager will manage/deliver them
- Delete T and D files.

Asunto: [IMail Forum] IMail 2006.3: Spool Dir contains D and T files

Hello,
I was just checking my IMail spool directory and found some old files
there. It is always a pair of files, a Txxxxx.SMD and a Dxxxxx.SMD file.
The D file seems to contain a mail while the T file just has some info
like this:

Qd:\ICS2006\IMail\spool\D59ad0121000005b4.SMD
Hmail.mydomain.de
I59ad0121000005b4
Wd:\ICS2006\IMail
E0,
S<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Nrcpt to: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
R<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

There is not a lot of those file pairs. Just 25 created in the last two
months. All D files contain spam mails.

Any idea what might have left those files in the spool dir?

Configuration:
IMail 2006.3 (As Part of ICS)
mxGuard 1.72
MessageSniffer
