hi john,

okay, make sense.

on #3, for a very similar reason as stated below, we added a "Empty the XYZ
folder" option to web messaging which makes it much faster (and more usable)
than having to use page scrolling, selecting multiple and then deleting
multiple. i'll add to the feature doc.

bye for now,

kg

hello john,

thanks for your comments. responses below.

1. "mark as spam"
==KG> We have this as a feature request - i like this one and have heard it
before and i've incremented the count for this one.

== JR >> Excellent, thank you!

2. "Weighted Spam"
==KG> The anti-spam solution today uses a combination of means to do this
including end users forwarding spam to a spam address which is then
processed and included in the engine. it's not the exact same as you
outlined below, but that's the current way it's being done.

== JR >> I certainly didn't expect exact, I was just hoping for something
that could be more easily and locally tweaked on a specific (sub)domain or
machine.

3. "Add multiple names to the TO field in a message"
==KG> There is one way to do this - or close to it.
Compose new message and select the To button. Your address book opens (make
sure the address book is on top). You can then use Shift and Shift/Click to
select all the names you wish and then use Ctrl Click to remove names). To
finish, select to add them to the To, CC or BCC. If you want to spread
across T/C/B, then select and add separately. Hope this helps.

== JR >> I am aware of the standard windows multiple selection methods and
they do work great in this application. I was just asked specifically about
adding a button or checkmark to 'add all' because "other services have it"
and "it's easy". This wasn't an overly savvy tech user, but someone very
important to the organization so I thought I would pass the request along.
If it can be done, great; if not, I certainly understand.

bye for now,

kg

Hi Kevin,

Just to make a note of it so it doesn't get lost in the "that's not what
Oblio meant" train ...

I would like to see what you mentioned along the lines of a "Mark as Spam"
interface option in web messaging. I receive comments from users that things
like this would be nice and/or helpful.

While I'm dreaming BIG, is there any chance that said proposed interface
could possibly do or allow for some sort of analysis/reporting toward an end
of creating or developing either rules or increased Bayesian efficiency for
the entire (sub)domain if more than X users or X % of users mark similar or
identical messages as spam?

Another one I just got this morning, also regarding web messaging:
Is there a possibility of adding something along the lines of a checkbox or
a button which would allow the selection of all of a particular user's
contacts to be chosen at once within the address book? The interest is in
the selection of all contacts from the address book during the creation of a
new message.

Thanks,

John Richardson

hello oblio,

good request - want to follow up...

so are you looking for a "mark as spam" interface in the web messaging
client where the en user could do things like select 1 or more messages from
folder (say inbox), then select the "mark as spam" button/link which would
auto send the selected messages to the spam alias (settable per domain) and
then the messages would be either permanently deleted for the end users
inbox or sent to the deleted folder or elsewhere?

bye for now,

kg
