Ok, obviously logs are longer than one line.  I assumed it would be understood that I was referring to logs where all lines are the same format and contain one unique record.

Take for example IIS's logs where one complete record is on one line.  Multi-line logs like IMail's have many lines that are all part of the same "record", and each line has to be parsed differently due to the different information and formatting.

In answering, I could not assume that the person asking was a VB developer.

Ummm what does that mean exaclty since by definition log fileare *hopefully* longer than one line and I have used for a while as well.

You can integrate it with Visual Basic and really get crazy with it.

If you mean MS Log Parser, tt won't process multiple line logs like IMail's.

Something else to consider is Microsoft's log analyzer. It's a generic
log analyzer that's pretty slick.

Have you run the log analyzer shipped with IMail?

Does anyone know of a program or utilty that I can run that will give me
a
listing of all emails sent to a particular email address?

Also something that will list the number of messages sent to our mail
server
by ip address?

Thanks in advance.
