It's by design that the alternate DLLs are not replaced, and it's good
design.  If  you are proactive about patching your custom auth DLLs to
account  for  change  to the ODBCUSER API, you _certainly_ do not want
them to be overwritten with the stock DLL. Pretty appropriate behavior
under the circumstances, as we know the app can't identify a DLL under
another name that in this case just happens to be a binary copy of the
stock one.
