Chris,
What I've seen and been able to check (numbers don't
correspond to your questions):
1. If the attachment comes as Content-Type=multipart/inline,
it doesnt' get parsed properly with _any_ template. Working
on it.
2. I've been _told_ that some attachments can't be seen with
6.02 when using 5.08 templates. I _haven't_ been told that
replacing the templates fixed the problem.
3. The only way I've been able to reproduce it is via #1.
So, I lean toward #1 being the real problem. Someone else
(believe it was John Carter) has the problem, both sets of
templates and a mailbox with the problem. Hopefully his
testing will either get me a mailbox/message to work with or
confirm that #1 is the problem and I'm on the right track in
fixing it. #1 _is_ being worked on either way, I'm just
trying to make sure that its the only problem.
4. _If_ it is a template/version problem, then the only
template that would need to be replaced--if you've done a
lot of customization--is readmail.html.
Not a complete answer yet, but better?
