This is a logging-only problem that has been present in Imail at least back as far as 8.15. The log clips off the trailing ">" (sometimes?/always?), but it is not absent from the SMTP conversation. I brought this issue up years ago when I saw it in my logs and thought it was indicative of a problem. Ipswitch said it was normal, but it should have been fixed by now even if it is only cosmetic. It causes confusion.
