You  do  use  a  MAPI  profile -- usually a generic term for a Windows
Messaging  profile.  I  was  suggesting dumping the whole profile, not
just  adding  and deleting the services while keeping the profile. But
your more basic step may help as well.

It  certainly  could  have had trouble upgrading the existing profile,
