Any thoughts anyone? gd From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Behalf Of Guy Deslauriers Hi everyone, 1- Could any of you convince me that using TLS is a good (or
necessary) thing? I’m using Imail 8.22 and haven’t explicitly
enabled that feature as it’s enabled by default. What happens to
secure inbound request when this feature is disabled? Are the SMTP
request simply dropped or will they fail over to standard SMTP, or is it a per
MTA settings? 2- What’s the difference between TLS and SSL with a
dedicated port? Correct me if I’m wrong, but my understanding is that
TLS enable a STARTTLS command on the SMTP connection on port 25, then start the
encrypted session on that same port (25), as opposed to SSL listening for
encrypted SMTP connection on a defined port. Thanks in advance Guy |
