From an IMGate as outbound relay, today:

... More than one deferral per msg,
2 hours average delay to send a msg to yahoo,
with longest delay 12+ hours.
That's just to get out of our MTA.
Further delivery delays completely within yahoo mail system are also
known. I've seen IMGate log a delivery to a yahoo MX at time X and
the client hasn't received the msg in their yahoo mailbox for X+2 hours later.
So everybody just relax about yahoo, it ain't your problem. :)
