Hi all,

I recently starting experiencing weirdness in Imail’s rule and rule tester interface, and since then the rules aren’t processing correctly though they look fine in the rules.ima file.  The only change on that server is a complete overhaul in the inbound rules.  And now, even if I put back the former rules (that were working fine before), they act the same.  Stopping and restarting all services didn’t do anything.  I tried deleting the rules.ima file, recreating it, still no go.

I’m running Imail 8.22 on a Windows 2000 SP4 box.

Here’s the rules.ima entry:

RULE 1: H~X-Assp-Spam\: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:[EMAIL PROTECTED]

RULE 2: H~X-Assp-Spam\: YES!AND!H!~X-RCPT-TO\: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:[EMAIL PROTECTED]

And here’s what it looks like in the Rule Tester UI

RULE 1:

Header Contains X-Assp-Spam\

RULE 2:

Header Contains X-Assp-Spam\: YES

AND

Header Does not contain X-RCPT-TO\

Both rule return false when ignoring the UI display and testing according to the valid regex entry in rules.ima

According to the help file the regex special characters include only the following {} () | * + , . : \ [ ] ^ $

Is this list still accurate?????

Any leads would be appreciated

Thanks

gd
