Thanks for the advice. I will try what you suggest. Unfortunately, nothing
of any consequence is being logged in the event log other than the rather
generic "service stopped unexpectedly".

Hi David-

Have a quick look at the server's application event log and see whether
anything useful is being logged there. If so, set the log to a much larger
s1ze than the default (I use 4096 mb), and have it erase old entires as
necessary.

If you are running the IMail Monitor service, try turning that off. (Yes,
off. It has caused problems with some services in the past, I think one of
those was POP.) Needless to say, you will want to monitor the service
manually for a while to see whether that breaks the pattern.
