Hi David,

Okay, that makes sense - system wide (only settable by sysadmin), domain
wide (only settable by host admin) and end user can only access what has
been granted changeable by them.

What is your top list of features to be configurable - here's what I have
thus far. Please rank.

1. what to do with deleted messages
2. what to do with Sent messages
3. disabling Forwarding
4. what to do with attachments and should attachment gui be on by default
5. CC/BCC on/Off by default

Bye for now,

kg

Imail 2006.1 ...

Kevin,

As long as we are discussing wishlists....

>From an email hosting perspective, inheritance would go a long way to
improving service. The following would apply to all mail services - not
only web messaging.

The system admin should be able to set server-wide defaults/limits and
specify whether they can be over-ridden or not.

Next the host admin should be allowed to set host-wide defaults/limits for
the host that the system admin configured to allow over-rides on - but not
exceed any limits that may be imposed by the system admin.

Next, the end user changes must only be allowed within what the host admin
allowed or inherited from the system admin and chose not to over-ride
themselves.

Lastly, the server admin *only* should be able to over-ride any
defaults/limits for a user or host - even if different than system or host
limits.

Regards,

David Gregg

Hello Jose,

Thanks for the input - very good request.

We have seen this one more and more over the past few months and plan to
finalize some requirements on this.

For example, regarding the items below, which are you looking for?

1. settable default (by admin) but changeable within web mail preferences by
end user ==KG> In this model, Admin sets all deleted mail to not be moved to
Deleted by End User can change if they wish.
2. settable default (by admin) but NOT changeable within web mail
preferences by end user ==KG> In this model, Admin sets all deleted mail to
not be moved to Deleted and there is no way for the end user to change this.

Bye for now,

kg

How can be changed the preferences of all the users in the Web Mail?

For example, when erasing a message in mail Web, this erases efinitivamente
