So you don't feel alone, my reports have indicated rise of about 100,000 spam messages over the last few days, so I have seen an increase. I was seeing about 430,000 daily spam message, give or take. On the 27th and 28th, I received over 550,000 spam messages per day. I blame the holidays.

It is however, not well documented. The initial learning curve is steep so don't get discouraged. Join and read the forums and mail lists at http://sourceforge.net/forum/?group_id=69172 and http://sourceforge.net/mail/?group_id=69172 and visit the original website for good startup info at http://assp.sourceforge.net/fom/cache/1.html. Also there is an installer at http://www.andersonit.com/assp.html that can be used to get a head start. It is an old version and will need to be updated with the current version but it will help to get all the prerequisites in place. This is a rather big undertaking and requires a little knowledge about SMTP and your operating system and lots of patience. Lastly, set it all up on a demo server first to get a feel for it before trying to set it up on your production server if you have that option.
