Hi John,

That is correct. The IMail trial is fully functional and runs for 30 days.

If this is a new purchase, you'll need a single key for any product that
does not have Symantec and two keys with Symantec.

Bye for now,

kg

Subject: RE: [IMail Forum] IMail trial software

Hi Matt,

To the best of my understanding and recollection, I believe it is fully
functional for thirty days. If you fail to run the activation and provide a
valid license key within that timeframe, the outgoing mail stops
functioning. The service will NOT start after thirty days until it has been
activated.

If you're going to go with ICS, be advised that you may end up with two
different license codes that need to be activated. This is a personal
experience I have just gone through. I knew I had done an activation, and I
was well outside that thirty day window, but apparently that was only for
Imail. The WorkGroup Share Service refused to start somewhere after about
sixty days or so. I just activated another code provided to me by Ipswitch
tech support after inquiring why the service quit starting. That second code
activation fixed that problem, so heads up if that happens to you later on.

Hope that helps, good luck!

John

Subject: [IMail Forum] IMail trial software

I'm in need of doing a clean install for a client with an existing IMail 8x
box, but we don't expect for their new license to come in by the scheduled
time and are going to the 9.x version. I was wondering how safe it would be
to install the software in the trial setup.
Essentially I need to know if any functionality is limited under the trial
license in any way or if there are any other concerns besides just a 30 day
limit (or whatever it is). I would appreciate the help here in relation to
official feedback or experiences from those that have used the trial for a
production server.

Much appreciated,

Matt
