pros: faster, more stable mail operations

cons: it can consume a lot of resources (esp disk i/o) that you are
trying to optimize

as good as any. any of the long-time, big-name defraggers work well.

but before defragging:

system design of partitions per function,

partition sizing so that there is plenty of free disk space for
defragging workspace, and

frequent purging all partitions of stale files.

Do the above wrong/badly, the defragging will take forever and eat
tons of resources.
