Yep, I'm a Firefox fanboy myself. I can leave it open for days or even weeks without an issue. Firefox add-ons are comparable to plug-ins in IE, and I wouldn't fault Firefox for some developer's poor add-on. I would imagine that you can set up a policy to block these. It's worth while to support, especially since Firefox isn't within the typical attack vector.

And form what I have seen poorly written extension consume LOTS of memory. I had a few users that left a browser run overnight with a Theme and some tab extension and the browser had consumed 2GB of memory each....needless to say FireFox doesn't exist on the network anymore. The largest problem was actually the BitTorrent extension for FF that casued us numerous problems with bandwidth a viruses.

Good call Travis!! ;)

I have a couple of add-ons running. The culprit was "Skype Extension v2.2.0.50"

It is disabled and I can select mail from the list with single click to
get the preview. Too bad... that extension was nice :(

It is still buggy when resizing the columns (From, Subject, Received,
Size)... I'll keep testing...

Thanks for the input!

Make sure you disable all extensions and add-ons to eliminate one of
them as
the problem. AdBlock is usually a culprit here.

Subject: [IMail Forum] Firefox 2.0.0.1 and WebMail ICS2006

Hello people!!!

I was using SmarterMail since 2005... We're looking to go back with
Imail or ICS. I have downloaded the 30 trial and I am having some
little problem with Firefox. In WebMail, when I use Firefox 2.0.0.1,
when I click on INBOX, the first message in the list is selected. I
can't select another one (just single click) to get the preview. If I
want to read the second or third or any other message in the list, I
have to double click it to open it in a new window or new tab.

The resize of column is also not behaving as it should... It messes the
screen and the column are not keeping the desired size...

If anyone out there have an idea of what it could be, it would be nice
to here it from you...

Ok... out for today!!! I'm glad to be back on this mailing list!! :)
